Due to common scientific explanations the reason why people cheat lies in their genes. Apparently, humans are not designed to be monogamous and stay with one partner for the rest of their lives. The real reasons why men and women cheat on their partners are as different as they are interesting. <BR><BR> It is a fact, that cheating men follow their instincts to spread their seed among as many females as possible. That s their primordial job on earth. Although the majority of men are happy with one woman (as long as the relationship and the sex life are healthy) some are driven by their instincts and can t stop having sex with more than one woman. The more testosterone in his genes the more likely he cheats. Scientific research has proven that men with a high level of testosterone are more interested in non-committal affairs. In general, men are quicker to cheat and have sex with new partners than women and when the affair is focused on sex they basically don t care what the woman looks like. It is a fact that men don t care how attractive a woman is when there is no intention to form a long term relationship. <BR><BR> Women s biological motivation to cheat on their partners is to sleep with men with the appropriate genetic material to give her healthy and good looking children. That s why most of the women are cheating with men who are better looking than their boyfriend or husband. Long before contraception was invented, women were taught only to sleep with men that potentially give them good looking children. <BR><BR> It is an interesting fact that women are more likely to fall in love with their affair than men are. According to studies men are more attractive for women after their first sex while men think the opposite. That is the biological prevention to keep men from falling in love with a woman in order to stay available for many others to keep securing the survival of their species. <BR><BR> So much for the biological insight, but our society doesn t work that way. And when asking cheaters why they betray their partners they would never give the above mentioned reasons as an answer. Some might say they simply love all the men or women and sex. Others might say they don t get enough appreciation from their partners. That means their sex life is unsatisfying and their partner doesn t give them the feeling of being attractive and desirable. They are lacking of appreciation and physical attention like a dry flower is lacking of water. And if that continues for a long period of time the natural reaction will be to satisfy what s lacking with the help of another man or woman. <BR><BR> It is and has always been a basic human desire to find one partner to start a family with. We are conditioned to be monogamous and to consider polygamy and cheating as wrong.
